ESP8266 is a highly integrated chip designed for the needs of the new connected world.
It provides a complete and self-contained Wi-Fi networking solution, allowing it to host the application or route all Wi-Fi networking functions from another application processor.
The ESP8266 has powerful internal processing and storage capabilities that enable it to integrate with sensors and other application-enabled devices via its GPIOs with minimal preload and minimal loading during runtime.
The high degree of on-chip integration allows for minimal external circuitry and the entire solution, including the front-end module, is designed to take up minimal PCB space.
