This module is photosensitive, usually used to detect ambient brightness and light intensity.
If there is no light or the light intensity cannot reach the value, the output is high.
When the light intensity is more than the value, the module output is low.
The module digital output can be directly connected with the microcontroller, the microcontroller can detect high or low level, thus detecting the environmental light intensity change.

Analog output AO connection with AD module, you can get more precise light intensity value through AD converter.
