An IR blocking filter integrated on the chip and localized to the color detection photodiodes minimizes the IR spectrum component of the incident light and ensures accurate color measurements.
The filter allows you to get more accurate color than most sensors since people don't see the IR.
The sensor has an incredible 3,800,000:1 dynamic range with adjustable integration time and gain, making it suitable for use behind dark glass.
It has a 3.3V regulator circuit so you can power the cutter with 3-5VDC and level shift the I2C pins so they can be used with 3.3V or 5V logic.
