·       Material Combining: The Snapmaker Dual Extrusion Module allows you to work with two different materials at the same time - for example, you can combine materials such as PLA and TPU. The Dual Extrusion Module is especially useful when support structures are needed. In this regard, the module works perfectly with water-soluble PVA filament, ensuring high-quality prints. The same goes for HIPS in combination with breakable PLA

·       Motorized Hot End Switching: Usually, switching from one hot end to another on dual extrusion printers is quite a time-consuming process. Especially when you consider that there are two hot ends in one tool head! The Snapmaker module features an electronically controlled 3-second hot end switching. This is done by the motor: when the G-code indicates that the hot end needs to be changed, the motor asks the linear rail to do the heavy lifting. The hot end is switched and printing continues within 3 seconds - with a repeatability of 0.012 mm.

·       4-Fan Cooling System: Filament residue from a clogged nozzle can be terrible! This problem should be solved with the Dual Extrusion Module, as each hot end is equipped with its own dedicated fan. The fan prevents the filament from melting prematurely in the heating block, thus clogging the hot end. In addition to the hot end fans, the module includes two more fans (left and right) to cool the prints.

·       Smart Usage with Various Nozzle Sizes: To use the nozzles more intelligently, you can adjust your settings for each nozzle size in Luban a little more. When you want a print with excellent details, you can print the shell with the 0.2 mm nozzle hot end at a lower speed, so that it is not only solid but also looks beautiful from the outside. And when you want speed for a model with rich support structure, you can print the infili with the 0.6 or 0.8 mm nozzle hot end, because they are much faster.

·       Automatic Leveling: Don't worry if you lost your calibration card, because it is no longer needed. The proximity sensor in the module takes data for each point from the first to the last point on your heated bed, and these are processed automatically by the control. No need to worry about Z load calibration. The optoelectronic switch will do it for you.

·       Power Loss and Out of Filament Recovery: In case you are wondering, power loss and out of filament recovery features are also supported by the Dual Extrusion Module.
