A4988 Stepper Motor Driver with Cooler 5 Modes Protected Original

The A4988 Motor Driver Board with Cooler is Allegro's most useful microstep bipolar bipolar stepper motor driver.

The driver has current limitation, overcurrent protection and 5 different microstep resolutions.

It can operate between 8-35V and provides 2 A current for each coil.

It is recommended to put fast diodes at the motor outputs to ensure trouble-free use of the driver and to prevent it from being easily affected by external factors.

In this way, the reverse force returning from the motor cannot cause any damage to the driver.

Cooler is included in the product.

The driver requires a logic voltage source (3-5.5V) connected between VDD and GND pins and a motor power supply (8-35V) connected between VMOT and GND.

The decoupling capacitors of these sources must be in appropriate proximity to the board, and these sources must be suitable for transmitting the expected currents (up to a maximum of 4A for the power supply).

A simple step and direction control interface

Five different step resolutions: Full step, Half step, Quarter step, Eighth step and Sixteenth step

Adjustable current control allows you to set the maximum current output with a potentiometer, which allows the stepper motor to use voltage above its nominal voltage to achieve higher step rates.

Intelligent changeover control automatically selects DC deceleration mode. (fast deceleration or slow deceleration)

It has over-temperature thermal shutdown, low voltage and high current protections.

Short circuit protection is available.
